Our Story

J.W. Canaday Trucking is a family owned and operated business with three generations of experience in the trucking industry.

In 1960, the father of the current owners, John W. Canaday started J.W. Canaday Trucking with purchasing a 1960 single axle Ford. He prided himself on being a hard worker and proved that by unloading each pallet of cylinder block by hand. 

During the late 70's the current owners Douglas, Virgil, and Rhonda Canaday joined the family business. Douglas and Virgil began driving trucks and Rhonda supervises the business office. Our current Vice President Virgil Canaday has over thirty five years experience driving and operating all truck services offered here at J.W. Canaday Trucking. He currently supervises the aggregate department and takes a great pride in knowing the customers we have served over the years. Our current president Douglas Canaday has worked as a driver, mechanic, shop manager, and president bringing top notch knowledge from the ground up.  Today they each offer over forty years of experience in daily operations.

As the years have progressed more trucks have been added to our fleet. Today we operate with a fleet of thirty trucks ready to serve you.
